“I participated in the Groningen Oncology Summer School in 2024, and it truly changed my academic life. I had always been interested in oncology, but getting to know part of the university’s structure and academic content deeply impressed me. Those days were filled with personal fulfillment and genuine joy.

We had classes taught by specialists in key areas of oncology, including pathology with hands-on activities, clinical oncology, and updates on chemotherapy and immunotherapies, among many other topics. We also had the opportunity to visit the proton therapy center, which was honestly incredible. It’s not every day that you get to visit one of the few proton therapy hubs in Europe.

The city of Groningen itself is beautiful, and I truly loved taking part in all the social programs with the crew members. Getting to know a bit of Dutch culture was absolutely captivating and made the experience even more special. Beyond the academic side, it was also a very enriching cultural and linguistic exchange. I met students from many different parts of the world and made friendships that I still carry with me today. I am very proud to have been part of this program and I recommend it wholeheartedly. It is definitely a memory I will never forget.”
